film: The Appointment

The film tells the story of a suitcase that is carried through the city of Zurich. The suitcase is passed on through various people and so becomes the protagonist.

The big question is what is in the suitcase. Could it be money, clothes or drugs? This creates a tension that increases as the film progresses. This increase is underlined by the fact that the characters move faster and faster. The appointment of the different characters is realized by the handover of the suitcase.

The scenery and colors of the film are reminiscent of classics from the 60s. A great inspiration was also the world famous director Wes Anderson. The symmetries and bright colors invite you to dream and give the film a surrealistic touch. Both of the filmmakers have a preference for bright designs from the earlier decades, and this has certainly been incorporated into the final product. The viewer travels back in time and the film leaves plenty of room to finish the story itself.
